The Magical Island of Bali

Mama Bali

The spectacular island of Bali in the 17,000 island Indonesian archipelago offers a fantastic mixture of tribal culture, picturesque beaches, exciting activities and world-class amenities. Indonesia is home to over 127 active volcanoes, two of which are on the island of Bali, Mt. Batur and Mt. Agung.* Given Bali’s tremendous energy and powerful healing waters and mineral springs, it’s a powerful place for transformational healing. Bali is known for having powerful feminine, or “goddess” energy, which is why thousands of seekers come to “Mama” Bali each year to heal and be nurtured spiritually, physicially, mentally and emotionally.

*Bali’s volcanoes are a safe distance from Ubud (at least 38 kilmeters through mountainous terrain, or 4 hours’ drive by car).
Indigenous practices are honored in Bali, so it’s easy to find handmade dreamcatchers on almost every corner in Ubud.

Ubud

Known as the cultural center of Bali, the jungle-immersed village of Ubud is where you’ll find the best yoga on the island, indigenous art and dance and the most stunning rice terrace views you’ve ever seen. The Svarga Loka Resort is nestled in Penestanan, a quaint village in Ubud, just a 10-minute walk from Ubud center.
